SSGA changes indices for two SPDR Treasury bond ETFs

State Street Global Advisors has changed the underlying indices for two of its fixed income ETFs – the SPDR Portfolio Short Term Treasury ETF (SPTS US) and SPDR Bloomberg Barclays Intermediate Term Treasury ETF (ITE US). Noel Archard, global head of product for SPDR ETFs, commented, “With these changes, our suite of Treasury bond SPDR ETFs will offer more precise exposure to various segments of the US Treasury market.”


SSGA migrates remaining SPDR ETFs to Euroclear’s international structure

SSGA to create $7bn US small-cap ETF through fund merger

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has completed the migration of its entire suite of Irish-domiciled SPDR ETFs to Euroclear’s international issuance structure. Euroclear’s model provides one place of settlement—an international central securities depository (ICSD) – bringing increased efficiency to a process that had previously only been supported by fragmented domestic market practices across Europe.


Three new iShares ETFs cross-listed on Xetra

GPF cross-lists world’s first physical copper and nickel ETCs on Xetra

BlackRock has cross-listed three iShares ETFs onto Xetra. The new listings, which are not related, are traded in euros and offer access to global small-cap equities, companies operating in the automation and robotics industry, and a broadly diversified portfolio of commodity futures contracts.


Strong ETF listing activity recorded on LSE in March

March saw 27 new ETFs and 76 ETPs listed on the LSE.

The number of ETFs and ETPs listed on London Stock Exchange rose significantly in March, with 27 new ETFs and 76 ETPs added during the month. New listings on the exchange were provided by VanEck, UBS, Societe Generale, BlackRock, Lyxor and Deutsche Asset Management.


JP Morgan makes ETF debut on SIX Swiss Exchange

JP Morgan Asset Management has made its ETF debut in Switzerland with the cross-listings of four products on SIX Swiss Exchange. Bryon Lake, head of international ETFs at JP Morgan commented, “In developing our ETF business, we are seeking to make JP Morgan Asset Management’s acknowledged, long-established expertise available in the ETF domain.”


Vanguard launches first ever active ETFs down under

Vanguard has launched its first two actively managed ETFs on Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).

Vanguard has launched its first actively managed ETFs on Australian Securities Exchange – the Vanguard Global Value Equity Active ETF (VVLU AU) and Vanguard Global Minimum Volatility Active ETF (VMIN AU). The funds are managed by Vanguard’s Quantitative Equity Group and combine rules-based methodologies with an active oversight to provide targeted and consistent factor exposures.


ITI Funds cross-lists two Russia ETFs on MOEX

BlackRock begins winding down Russia ETF

ITI Funds, the ETF issuing arm of emerging markets specialist Da Vinci Capital Management, has cross-listed two of its Russia focused ETFs on Moscow Stock Exchange (MOEX). The two ETFs – an equity fund and a bond fund – were first listed on London Stock Exchange on 22 February of this year.

CICC and Krane launch China internet ETF

China International Capital Corporation and Krane Funds Advisors have launched their first joint ETF, the CICC KraneShares CSI China Internet Index ETF. Listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, the ETF offers investors exposure to Chinese internet companies.


Elkhorn loses last ETFs in acquisition no show

Direxion launches 'Insider Sentiment' ETFs

Illinois-based ETF provider Elkhorn Capital will lose its last four ETFs due to the falling through of an expected acquisition by Turner Investments. Without an acquirer, Elkhorn’s investment advisory contracts have not been renewed by its board, leaving the ETF issuer unable to continue providing its four remaining ETFs to the market. Two of Elkhorn’s ETFs will be taken over while the other two will be liquidated.
