Sub-advised by SIA Wealth Management, the BMO SIA Focused Canadian Equity ETF (ZFC CN) and BMO SIA Focused North American Equity ETF (ZFN CN) provide exposure to concentrated portfolios of Canadian and North American stocks, respectively.

Constituents are selected based on relative strength – an analysis of price performance, or momentum, between securities.

ZFC currently holds just 11 securities, while ZFN has 13.

The funds have the flexibility to shift part or all of their exposure into short-term fixed income ETFs, either to seek investment opportunities or to position themselves defensively. Up to 10% of each portfolio may be allocated to foreign securities.

“High-conviction portfolios – concentrated in fewer stocks than traditional funds – are increasingly in demand,” said Mark Raes, Head of Product Management Canada, BMO Global Asset Management. “We are committed to meeting the needs of advisors for their clients.”

ZFC comes with a management expense ratio (MER) of 0.84%, while ZFN costs 0.90%.
