E*TRADE has announced a significant expansion of its ETF lineup. Over the past six months, the platform has added 80 ETFs to its range, increasing its total by 51%.
E*TRADE boosts its ETF lineup by 51%
E*TRADE is a platform which enables investors to buy and sell ETFs without paying brokerage commission.
These new ETFs come from seven providers and bring E*TRADE’s total number of ETFs to 225. The new additions include ETFs from iShares, John Hancock, Legg Mason, and PIMCO.
“It’s often said that a balanced portfolio is greater than the sum of its parts,” said Rich Messina, SVP of investment product at E*TRADE Financial. “But at the heart of a well-constructed portfolio are core products that carry the workload and which are designed to either help improve returns or defend against changing market conditions. With the recent additions to our commission-free ETF program, comprehensive diversification, across practically any asset class, is now more easily and cheaply attainable than ever before.”
