Janus Henderson Investors has launched a new actively managed fixed income ETF in Australia providing global exposure to corporate bonds from issuers making a positive impact on social or environmental issues.
The Janus Henderson Sustainable Credit Active ETF (GOOD AU) has been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange with a management fee of 0.50%.
The fund selects its investments from an initial universe comprising investment-grade corporate bonds from issuers located worldwide.
Up to 20% of the portfolio may be allocated to bonds rated high yield, and, where the ETF invests in non-Australian dollar-denominated securities, foreign currency exposure will be fully hedged on a regular basis.
Janus Henderson utilizes a mix of third-party ESG measures and proprietary research to drive security selection, seeking to identify issuers with sustainable business practices that are contributing positively towards at least one of eight impact themes.
The eight themes include promoting decarbonization, aiding the circular economy, supporting sustainable buildings, protecting and promoting environmental biodiversity, supporting social equality and alleviating poverty, encouraging inclusion and social diversity, aiding disability support and services, and promoting the provision of affordable housing.
