Vanguard has listed two UK equity ETFs on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The Vanguard FTSE 100 UCITS ETF (VUKE) and the Vanguard FTSE 250 UCITS ETF (VMID), which are already listed on London Stock Exchange in GBP, will trade in CHF on SIX.
VUKE has amassed £2.7 billion in assets under management since its launch in May 2012 and features a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.09%. VMID, which was launched in September 2014, has £504 million in assets and has a TER of 0.10%.
VUKE is the second largest ETF tracking the FTSE 100 Index behind the iShares Core FTSE 100 UCITS ETF (LON: ISF) which has £5.0bn in assets under management with a TER of 0.07%, making it the joint cheapest FTSE 100 ETF available.
The best performing FTSE 100 ETF over the past year has been the Lyxor FTSE100 UCITS ETF (LON: L100) which has returned 25.6% compared to VUKE which has returned a full percentage point less with 24.6%, despite the TER of the Lyxor ETF coming in at 0.15%.
