XMX tracks the WisdomTree Global ex-Mexico Equity Index and provides institutional investors with global equity exposure, while removing Mexico and other country exposure restricted by The National Commission for the Pension System (CONSAR).

The US is by far the largest country within the fund, representing well over half (56.0%) of the total exposure. Japan (8.4%), the UK (6.4%) and France (3.6%) make up the next largest country weights. The largest sector exposures are to financials (17.4%) and information technology (16.4%) while healthcare consumer discretionary and industrials each account for approximately 12% of the index’s weight. Apple, the largest company in the world by market capitalization, is the fund’s largest single holding at 1.9%.

The fund has a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.30% due to a contractual fee waiver in place until at least February 2020. Its gross expense ratio is 0.35%.

XMX is listed in the special international section of the BMV, the Sistema Internacional de Cotizaciones (“SIC”). SIC makes it possible for certain institutional investors to trade foreign securities in Mexico. Securities listed on the SIC are not publicly offered in Mexico.

“We are pleased to cross-list XMX on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, a strategy tailored specifically for the Mexican market. We believe XMX can have an important place as a core equity position for Mexican investors, helping them achieve broad market exposure and diversification in the cost-efficient ETF structure,” said Jonathan Steinberg, WisdomTree CEO and president.

A total of 33 WisdomTree ETFs are now listed on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores.
